Frequently Asked Questions
-
If you are new to Love Aesthetics, start with your First Date consultation. It is a relaxed, complimentary appointment where Jo gets to know your skin, your goals and what you would love to feel more confident about. There is no pressure to have treatment on the day.
-
Not at all. That is what Jo is here for. You can come in with a clear idea, a vague skin feeling, or simply “help, I don’t know where to start”. Jo will talk you through what may be suitable and what is best left alone.
-
Some cosmetic treatments involve prescription medicines, which are regulated in Australia. This means clinics cannot publicly advertise certain product names, treatment categories, or pricing in the same way they might advertise non-prescription skin treatments. This is why consultation is so important. Jo will assess your suitability, explain your options clearly, and provide personalised information based on you, not a generic online menu. TGA and APHRA guidance also requires cosmetic procedure advertising to be responsible, realistic and focused on patient safety rather than pressure or promotion
-
No. Your consultation is a chance to ask questions, understand your options and decide what feels right. You are welcome to go away and think about it.
-
Yes, that is the goal. Jo’s approach is to enhance rather than change. The focus is on fresh, balanced, natural-looking results that still feel like you.
-
Completely normal. Lots of people feel nervous before their first appointment. Jo will take things slowly, explain everything in plain English and make sure you feel comfortable before anything happens.
-
Start with the Skin Match guide or book a First Date consultation. Jo will look at your skin, features, goals, lifestyle and timing, then recommend a plan that makes sense for you.
-
Yes, but timing matters. Some treatments need time to settle or build gradually, while others are better suited closer to an event. Tell Jo your date and she will guide you on what is realistic and safe.
-
It depends on the treatment, your skin, lifestyle and treatment plan. Some treatments are designed for short-term freshness, while others support skin quality and collagen over time. Jo will explain expected timing during your consultation.
-
Some treatments have little to no downtime, while others may involve temporary redness, swelling, tenderness or visible skin changes. Jo will explain what to expect before you decide to proceed.
-
Comfort is always considered. Some treatments feel very gentle, while others can feel a little spicy. Where appropriate, Jo may recommend comfort support such as topical anaesthetic or LED.
-
LED light therapy is a gentle treatment that can support calming, recovery and overall skin health. It may be used on its own or as a little add-on after selected treatments.
-
Skin Match helps you start with what you are noticing, like wrinkles, droopiness, firmness, glow or a big event coming up. The Love Menu is the more technical treatment list. You do not need to choose alone.
-
Yes. A consultation can include advice about treatment options, skin goals and home skincare. Sometimes the best plan starts with getting the basics right.
-
No. Every face, skin story and comfort level is different. Jo will tailor her advice to your skin, features, health history and goals.
-
Jo will tell you. A big part of a good consultation is knowing what not to do. If something is not suitable, Jo will explain why and suggest another pathway where appropriate.
